DESIGN STRATEGY
SPHERE
Within the constraints of physics, inflatables tend to want to be a sphere. Cylinders, tubes and torus also work. The dimensions were referenced from Bigelow’s B330 module with a diameter of 22 feet.
DIVISION OF SPACE
Within the contraints of a sphere, the overall form is divided into multiple zones of circular orientations. That way, each hab module has a central, open plan for shared, collaborative, and reconfigurable spaces.
CONNECTIONS
Connector modules are used for transitional spaces, storage, hardware and other logistical programming needs. The form hugs and connects one central hab to another.
